In 2006, three of the 10 medical schools participating in the Clinical Research Fellowship program received grants of $130,000 each to pilot international fellowship opportunities during the 2007-2008 fellowship year: University of California San Francisco, Columbia University and Yale University. (A fourth pilot site was also established at Harvard Medical School.)
